Techspace Eiswerk is located at a well known landmark in Berlin, home of the Eiswerk Factory, which stands tall opposite Techspace Eiswerk with its famous chimney stack pointing skywards. The two buildings together were, at one point 100 years before, the industrial centre of Berlin's ice making trade. Making huge blocks of ice in the factory, storing it in the warehouse, and then shipping it off to those who bought it in boats along the River Spree. Techspace Eiswerk is a characterful warehouse building situated on Kopinicker Strasse, a 11 minute walk or a 3 minute cycle from Ostbahnhof, which is a main line railway station in Berlin located in the Friedrichshain quarter - which incidentally is one of the most popular residential areas for young professionals in the east of the city.
