Leipzig
Ahead of Dresden, Leipzig is the biggest city in Saxony, not only due to the number of people, but as well because of it’s beauty. It is considered to be a popular tourist attraction due to the history of the city, which is reflected in many old buildings. This includes, for example, the symbol of the city, the “Völkerschlachtdenkmal”, which was inaugurated in 1913. This symbol is a reminder of the liberation war and the defeat of Napoleon against the troops of Austria, Prussia, Russia and Sweden.
The Thomas Church is another historical and internationally known monument. It houses the famous “Thomanerchor“ of Leipzig.
As "city of the written word" Leipzig has a German Book-and Writing Museum as well as a Museum of printed art - a clear reminder of Johannes Guttenberg.
The concert hall “Gewandhaus” exists since 1781 and is beloved especially for its Orchestra and in addition it is also an architectural highlight.
But Leipzig is also an industrial city. Siemens, Porsche and BMW are located in the Saxon town. Therefore, it is no surprise, that the Leipziger Fair is being established as an internationally known location. In Leipzig for example the Book Fair, the Games Convention, the Automobile International and the “Touristic and Caravanning” take place. Because of that, many conference hotels have settled down in Leipzig to support the companies with the organization of various events around the fair and hotels offer appropriate venues as well as professionally equipped seminar- and conference rooms.
As a city of students Leipzig also has a vivid side, which can be experienced in the many small bars, cafes and clubs. These can also be rented for birthday parties or other events. How about having a birthday party in an abandoned factory? A truly unique experience, that guests won’t forget. If you want to overlook the city, you can rent a modern penthouse for your event.
